Educational tools, educational purposes
Every calculator, table, quiz and guide on Periodixy exists to help people learn chemistry. The calculators use standard, simplified educational formulas — the ones taught in school — which intentionally ignore corrections (non-ideal gases, activity coefficients, temperature dependence of Kw, and so on) that matter in research and industry.
Verify important work
For graded assignments, laboratory work, or anything professional, verify values and results against your course materials, an authoritative reference work, or a qualified professional. Atomic masses and physical constants are periodically re-measured, and different references legitimately disagree in the last decimal places.
Not a substitute for supervision
Periodixy does not replace a teacher, a lab supervisor, or a professional chemist. Nothing on this site is an instruction to perform any experiment. Chemical safety information here is general educational context only — real chemical handling requires proper training, equipment and supervision.
No dangerous use
Do not use this site to plan dangerous experiments or unsafe chemical handling. We deliberately do not publish procedural instructions for hazardous chemistry, and requests for such content will not be answered.
