Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026
By using Periodixy (https://periodixy.com) you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short and written in plain language.
1. Educational purpose
Periodixy provides free educational tools and content for learning chemistry. It is a study aid — not a substitute for a teacher, a textbook, a laboratory supervisor, or professional chemical advice.
2. No guarantee of perfect accuracy
We work hard on accuracy and mark unknown values honestly, but scientific data can vary between sources and errors are possible. Content is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Verify anything important — graded work, laboratory procedures, professional applications — against authoritative references.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use results from this site. Follow your school's rules about calculator and internet use for assignments. Never use information from this site to attempt dangerous experiments or unsupervised chemical handling.
4. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the site: no attempts to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer for republication, or use the content to build a competing dataset presented as your own. Normal classroom use — including printing our printables for students — is warmly encouraged.
5. Intellectual property
The site design, original explanations, guides and code are the property of Periodixy. Underlying scientific facts (atomic masses, melting points, etc.) belong to no one. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link; wholesale republication of our written content is not permitted.
6. External links
Pages may link to external resources we don't control. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
7. Advertising
The site may display clearly-labelled third-party advertising. Advertisers do not influence our educational content — see the editorial policy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Periodixy and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use of — or inability to use — this site or its content, including academic outcomes, data loss, or any consequences of acting on information found here.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions: contact us.
