Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Periodixy (https://periodixy.com) is a free educational website. This policy explains what information the site handles, in plain language. The short version: we require no account, collect no personal data to use the tools, and your quiz scores and preferences stay in your own browser.
Information we do not collect
You can use every tool on Periodixy without creating an account or providing any personal information. We do not ask for names, email addresses, or ages to use the site, and we do not sell personal data — of any kind, to anyone.
Local storage (your browser only)
Some features remember small preferences directly in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme choice and recently used formulas in the molar mass calculator. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. If analytics or advertising services are enabled (see below), those services may set cookies as described in their own policies, and — where required by law — you will be asked for consent first.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand which pages help students most (page views, approximate region, device type — not individual identities). If a specific analytics provider is added, this section will name it.
Advertising
Periodixy may display advertising, including from Google AdSense, to keep the site free. Third-party ad vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described at Google's ads policy page, where you can also opt out of personalised advertising. Where required (e.g. the EEA and UK), a consent banner will be shown before any advertising cookies are set.
Log data
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider records standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors and are retained only as long as the hosting provider's standard policy requires.
Contact form data
Our contact form composes an email in your own mail app — nothing is stored on our servers by the form itself. Emails you choose to send us are used solely to answer you and to apply any corrections you report, and are not added to marketing lists.
Children's and students' privacy
Periodixy is designed to be safe for students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The site requires no registration, and no feature asks students to submit personal details.
Your rights
Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Since Periodixy stores essentially no personal data server-side, most requests are satisfied by clearing your browser's local storage — but you are always welcome to contact us with any privacy question.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example when analytics or advertising go live — this page will be updated and the “last updated” date revised before the change takes effect.
