About the Element Symbol Quiz
This quiz drills the one-to-two letter symbols for common elements — the vocabulary you need before balancing equations or reading formulas. Each round pulls ten shuffled elements weighted toward the ones you actually meet in class, and you can switch between three difficulty levels. The tricky answers are the Latin-derived symbols: iron is Fe (ferrum), sodium is Na (natrium), lead is Pb (plumbum) and gold is Au (aurum). Miss one and the instant explanation tells you why, so you learn as you go rather than just scoring.
