About the Common Compounds Quiz
This quiz connects familiar substance names to their chemical formulas — water is H₂O, table salt is NaCl, glucose is C₆H₁₂O₆, ammonia is NH₃ and baking soda is NaHCO₃. Recognising these on sight makes reading equations far quicker and gives you a set of reference points for calculating molar mass. The questions cover the compounds that appear again and again in school chemistry, from acids and bases to everyday household chemicals. Ten curated questions per round, three difficulty levels, and an explanation after each answer to reinforce what the formula is telling you.
